Facebook Accounts for 14.5% of UK Page Views
Hitwise, the competitive intelligence service which collects data directly from ISP networks, has released figures that reveal the social networking site Facebook accounted for 14.5% of all UK Internet page views during September 2009:

3. Ebay (5.5%)
4. YouTube (2.5%)
5. Windows Live (1.9%)
Although Google is the most visited website in the UK and Facebook is second, the social networking service gains a greater number of page views per visit giving it a nearly 9% lead over the search engine giant.
Facebook, owned by 25 year old Mark Zuckerberg, accounted for almost half (49.2%) of all UK visits to a social networking site in September and the company saw an increase of 86.1% in UK visits to the site between September 2008 and September 2009.
