iPhone App Store Adds Top Grossing Apps

TechCrunch have reported that Apple are to do more to help iPhone application developers. The Apple App Store previously only listed top apps by sales and expensive apps have struggled to penetrate the low price and free apps dominated rankings. Now Apple have released a separate ranking system that lists apps by how much revenue they have made from sales under a 'Top Grossing' heading.

Top of the new listing are two GPS Sat Nav systems, CoPilot Live and TomTom, at £25.99 and £59.99 respectively. Featuring in the new list has seen both apps penetrate the top 50 paid for apps list for the first time.
