Twitter Web Analytics Hash Tag Changes

In response to the growing number of Washington State related hashtags (#wa) on Twitter, the web analytics industry, who also used #wa as their hashtag, have changed the industry hashtag to #measure. The change has been proposed by Eric Peterson, who has stated that since WA is the state abbreviation for Washington State it was only fair that the web analytics industry were the ones to step aside.

A hashtag is a symbol - # - followed by a name that can be used to broadcast to a specific group of people.
