WASP Acquired By iPerceptions

WASP, a Firefox extension aimed at helping users understand how their web analytics solution is implemented, has been acquired by web analytics firm iPerceptions.

WASP was created by Web Analytics Association board member Stéphane Hamel as a solution to bad analytics implementation, a subject he feels is the primary cause of poor analytics data collection. The terms of the iPerception deal have not been disclosed.

WASP has 11,000 different users and covers 150 different web analytics platforms.
