The Role:
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our growing team.
Reporting to the Data Science Manager, you will be a key member of our growing Data Science team within Lynchpin. Commercially focused, you will be an ambitious individual with a passion to join one of the UK’s leading analytics consultancies working alongside some global brands. The role itself will have a strong focus on delivering regular analytics support to our clients by working with their data and understanding their business challenges to deliver clear actionable results. Working alongside our Senior Data Scientists you will also have the ability to develop and grow your skills in more advanced analytics with the potential to work on projects such as forecasting, market attribution, customer journey analysis and segmentation.
Key Skills:
- Strong analytics background with a degree in a relevant subject.
- 1-2 years relevant experience within an analytical or similar role with a solid grasp of analytics and BI.
- Competent data prep and coding skills in SQL and Python or R.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret and analyse business requirements.
- Aptitude for working with diverse datasets including digital, research & customer data.
Main duties:
- Carry out analysis in support of client engagements as required, covering on-line and off-line data and tools.
- Work with client stakeholders to understand key business drivers and requirements.
- Design and manage analysis projects, processes and data to drive significant improvements for clients in areas such as revenue, profitability, cost efficiency and media spend.
- Identify and extract, or develop ETL requirements as appropriate, relevant datasets for business intelligence reporting as well as advanced statistical modelling.
- Developing insightful and actionable recommendations based on data analysis and communicating these clearly and succinctly to clients.
- Application of statistical or machine learning techniques to solve client problems.
- Managing relationships with stakeholders as directed, including updates on plans, outputs, and managing expectations.
- Provide consultancy to clients on analytics approaches and techniques.
